There is a known issue with OpenOffice where OpenOffice Impress will hang if you attempt to create slides via PowerWorship after copying and pasting song lyrics from within PowerWorship (e.g. from one slide or area of a song - to another in the Designer tab, or the Source tab, while editing songs), IF the song is left open in edit mode, in PowerWorship, during slide creation.
This is potentially related to the following OpenOffice bugzilla:
No fix is currently planned, and so to address the problem PowerWorship will (as of the 1/4/2014 pW 4.0 release) prompt you to close any open songs (and save any changes), before creating slides - when OpenOffice Impress is used as the presentation software.
To update your system(s) to the latest release, you can (after downloading the latest release) reinstall on top of your existing install and your database will not be modified, but it is best to backup your data in any case - to be safe.
To backup your data, exit PowerWorship and make a copy of the pwrwsp.sdf file at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\PowerWorship\pW4\Data on Windows XP or C:\ProgramData\PowerWorship\pW4\Data on Windows 7 or Windows 8.
