Import songs from 3.0.0.80

Post by arte2 » Sun Apr 15, 2012 8:55 pm

Having trouble importing songs from 3.0.0.80 off my old hard drive. Files are there, data is there they will open with word pad, but 3.2 will not even see them? Is the whole library lost? Also i can not get 3.2 to create power point Office 2003. :cry:

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Please see the following topic for help with the first question.

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=6#p1000

Re: the second issue, it sounds like the office interop assemblies are missing on your system.

This can happen if the .net framework 3.5 is installed after office 2003.

One possible solution can be found at the following URL.

See the section, "Getting theOffice2003 PIAs When Installing .NET Framework 1.1 After Installing Office 2003"

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library ... 11%29.aspx

Basically, you need to rerun the Office 2003 install and select to install the .net programmability support feature.

Note that as a last resort, you should be able to install and use PowerWorship 3.1 , which does not require the interop assemblies for MS Office. Your old songs, etc. can be easily copied to the Songs directory and used with both pW 3.1 and pW 3.2.

I am still using 3.1 but I just copy the Song folder over. And didn't have any problems with 3.1 seeing it. Does this not work in 3.2?

Copying the song folder works the same in 3.2.
